This course applies to those who are required to perform Scaffolding activities as part of their role.

It is the second of the three different levels of scaffolding.

DEFINITION - NSW SafeWork
Scaffolding work is the erection, alteration or dismantling of a temporary structure erected to support a platform from which a person or object could fall more than four metres from the platform or the structure.

All basic scaffolding work plus scaffolding connected with the use and operation of:

- cantilevered crane loading platforms
- cantilevered and spurred scaffolds
- barrow ramps and sloping platforms
- perimeter safety screens and shutters
- mast climbers
- tube and coupler scaffolds (including tube and coupler covered ways and gantries)

Entry Requirements

Pre-requisite
Must have either successfully completed the unit CPCCLSF2001A Licence to erect , alter and dismantle scaffolding basic level or holding a valid licence for basic scaffolding and be able to produce it.

Minimum 18 years of age, physically fit, ability to speak, read & write English.

Please note: This course may require participants to operate heavy equipment for the practical components of Training & Assessments. To ensure a high level of safety during the course, participants may be subjected to random Drug & Alcohol testing. Your acceptance of this is confirmed upon registering as a participant of this course.

100 points of ID (see downloads below)

Materials or Equipment Required

- Learning materials are provided.
- Please bring enclosed footwear, 100 points of ID, hard hat (if owned), weather suitable clothing and Lunch.
- Tea & Coffee Provided.

USI

From 1st January 2015 each student that will be commencing nationally recognised training in Australia is required to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI) to be able to obtain their certificate or qualification from their registered training organisation.
