| Description |
This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge required to safely operate an EWP (Scissor Lift). |

| Purpose |
Although Elevated Work Platforms under 11m do not require specific licensing requirements, section 19 of the NSW Work Health and Safety Act does require the Person Conducting Business or Undertaking (PCBU) to provide a Primary Duty of Care which includes the provision of information, training, instruction or supervision that is necessary to protect all persons from risks to their health and safety arising from work carried out. Please note that this is a nationally recognised unit of competency. It is recognised and accepted throughout Australia. Please be aware that “Yellow Cards” are issued by an industry body outside of the VET system. You do not require a Yellow Card to operate an EWP or scissor lift. This is a common misconception. |
